A useful quotation starts with the collection process, the space and the specification. Use this guide to prepare your brief for Hublok.
What affects the cost of parcel lockers?
A bespoke system is priced against an agreed project scope. The furniture, electronic hardware, software and installation requirements each contribute to the proposal.
Ask for one-off costs and recurring charges to be separated, with any optional work clearly identified. A cabinet price alone does not describe a complete connected system.
Build a useful first brief
Share the building type, location, approximate number of users, delivery volumes, photographs and available space. An outline is enough to start the discussion.

How should capacity be planned?
Start with the busiest delivery periods and the time parcels remain before collection. Record the mix of parcel sizes as well as the daily total: a free small compartment cannot take an oversized delivery.
The number of homes or staff is useful context, but it does not establish the right door count on its own. Ask reception or the mailroom for representative delivery information and identify seasonal or term-time peaks.
Agree a process for items that do not fit and for overdue collections. A clear exception process is part of the design, not something to leave until the bank is full.
Before you fix the specification
Which dimensions should I provide?
Share the available overall width, depth and height, a floor plan and photographs. Include nearby obstructions and the delivery route. The proposal should distinguish the cabinet footprint from usable compartment sizes.
What power and network information is needed?
Identify the proposed location and the people responsible for the building’s electrical and IT services. Exact power, connectivity, cable routes and platform requirements depend on the selected hardware and software and should be agreed during technical discovery.
What changes for an outdoor installation?
Exposure, location, construction and the collection interface need to be considered together. Confirm the specified system’s suitability for the actual setting; an indoor cabinet should not be assumed suitable outside.
What should be ready before handover?
Agree the user instructions, administrator access, onboarding, commissioning checks, training and aftercare. Include a contact route for faults and a process for oversized or uncollected parcels.
